Welcome to the blog for It's Meow or Never Animal Rescue, a 501(c)(3), non-profit, no-kill animal rescue organization. We rescue cats and dogs and after having them seen by the vet, we adopt them to loving, forever homes. Please come back often as we will try and update this site every day.

Please contact us if you need adoption assistance with an animal - if you provide a photo of the animal, we can list it on national databases to help find it a suitable home.

Please*do not* ever give your animal away for free ... learn why.

Calling All Washington Craftspeople!

Flowering Tree Botanicals is hosting a fundraising craft fair for an animal sanctuary for May 2nd at the Sammamish Valley Grange No. 286. It will hold 24 vendors (one six foot table and some floor space each) and we're also interested in outdoor vendors (kettle corn, fresh produce, fresh flowers, etc). It's a great location - just behind the Hollywood Schoolhouse!

We're tentatively thinking $50 for the booth fees with the entire amount going to It's Meow or Never Animal Rescue & Sanctuary (a 501c3 non-profit, no-kill animal rescue organization). Additionally, we would ask for one item to be donated from each vendor for a silent auction (value of at least $10).

Since this event is for a non-profit, we've also got opportunities for those with high school students who might need community service time - what a fun way to fulfill that requirement?!? This would be helping vendors set up, delivering box lunches to vendors who order them, volunteering to do fun outdoor activities (face painting for donations, etc).

In terms of advertising, we're planning ads in at least 4 area newspapers (the Woodinville Weekly, the Northlake News, the Valley View, the Redmond Reporter etc) as well as many online classifieds (Craigslist, blogs, etc). We're also inquiring about hanging an advertising banner across the road near the venue. I have several local stores that are willing to let us advertise the event in their stores as well.

If you think you might be interested, please email layla@floweringtreebotanicals.com quickly as interest has been huge thus far! I'll need to send you an application as this will be a venued event to ensure that we don't have too many of the same kind of items sold.

Thanks for your interest and support of the animals!
