Welcome to the blog for It's Meow or Never Animal Rescue, a 501(c)(3), non-profit, no-kill animal rescue organization. We rescue cats and dogs and after having them seen by the vet, we adopt them to loving, forever homes. Please come back often as we will try and update this site every day.

Please contact us if you need adoption assistance with an animal - if you provide a photo of the animal, we can list it on national databases to help find it a suitable home.

Please*do not* ever give your animal away for free ... learn why.

Ten Reasons to Foster an Animal from It's Meow or Never Animal Rescue & Sanctuary

1. Companionship without a lifetime commitment.

2. Animals that have endured hardship can benefit greatly from a loving home.

3. Fostering provides a great lesson in compassion to children and it’s a wonderful, life-affirming experience.

4. If you have one or more dogs or cats, one more won’t make a difference to you, but it sure will make a difference to the foster animal who otherwise might not have a second chance at life.

5. Fostering increases the likelihood of adoption. When the dog/cat you’ve fostered is loved and accepted in its forever home it is because of the love you’ve given them!

6. Increased "human interaction" greatly helps foster animals who often come from neglectful or abusive situations, and lets not forget what "pet interaction" can do for you by lowering your blood pressure, reducing stress, and giving you a real sense of self-worth.

7. You undoubtedly will get attached but when you meet the new family that's ready to provide a permanent home for the dog/cat you’ve fostered you’ll feel more than satisfied to see him/her move on to a new life.

8. Its fun!

9. You’re able to share with your foster animal what a life filled with love should be.

10. More foster homes means more animals’ lives will be spared from pounds and kill shelters. Only a small fraction of animals impounded every year are rescued from the terrible fate of euthanasia. FOSTERING IS A REAL WAY TO SAVE A LIFE!

Lost & Found - Helpful Tips for Pet Reunion Success

Lost a Pet?

If you've lost a pet, here are some helpful tips:
  • Search your neighborhood leaving the description of your pet and your name and phone number with as many people as possible.
  • Post signs in the area where your pet was lost that includes a photo, detailed description, date and how you can be contacted. Note: be aware that some city ordinances prohibit posting of signs. Check with the authorities before doing this.
  • Search on and post a message to our Lost & Found Pet message board
  • Visit your local animal shelter. Ask them if they have a message board that you can post a message on.
  • Keep looking for and asking about your pet. Often, kind-hearted neighbors may not take your pet to a shelter right away in the hopes that they'll be able to find the owner on their own.
  • Post a prominent advertisement in your local paper with a photo, detailed description, date and and how you can be contacted.
  • Be sure to read the "Found" ads in your local paper regularly. Remember that others may not describe your pet the way that you would so it's important to check out any possible leads

Re: It’s Meow or Never Animal Rescue & Sanctuary Paws For A Cause Auction,
May 2009

My name is Layla Colegrove and I am the chairperson for the 2009 Annual Online “Paws for a Cause” auction to benefit It’s Meow or Never Animal Rescue & Sanctuary, a 501(c)(3), non-profit, no-kill organization. At It’s Meow or Never Animal Rescue and Sanctuary, we have a goal of raising $15,000 from this event. These funds will allow us to open an adoption center in the local area which will allow us to rescue and rehabilitate more animals in dire need. Last year’s auction web page is located at http://www.itsmeowornever.org/auction and will be updated every day.

We would love to have you help us with our auction by donating a gift certificate, product or service for our auction. In exchange, we can provide advertising on our auction web site with a link back to your company web site. Additionally, we will provide a tax receipt for your donation. If you’d like to contribute to our auction, please note that it will take place in the May 2009 timeframe. As such, we’d like to request that gift certificates and tickets reflect an expiration date of December 2009 or later.

Our mailing address for donations: It’s Meow or Never Animal Rescue & Sanctuary PO Box 733 Woodinville, WA 98072 We hope that you’ll take a moment to help us with this very worthy cause! On behalf of the animals, thank you in advance for your generous contribution!

Sincerely,
Layla Colegrove

Well, there's been some really fun developments in the Holiday Room! A very kind supporter donated four cases of wonderful food for the animals at our sanctuary and Gummy is checking out the different flavors with great interest! Panda had a very large helping of food and is fast asleep. No more tummy growling for her!

Our famous little friend, Donovan, has joined his friends and when he spotted the tree, he scaled right to the top to get a closer look at the star! He's a real acrobat and could really use a condo so he can play safely. In fact, the others would love to have a fun condo to play on. Just look at Whisper .. she's playing hide and seek with you -can you spot her??

Please go to www.itsmeowornever.org and help the animals that need you for this holiday season!
